- Right-click the "Media" folder.
- Click on "Properties."
- Click on the "Security" tab.

First thing I noticed after getting Win 10 was that the audio books I had already downloaded and been listening to, suddenly had this weird audio popping upwardly similar when someone is too close to the mike and gets a piddling fleck of feedback. I tin still mind just that is annoying. Side by side thing I noticed was that everything was shown half-size in the pictures and print--trying to use the folio for getting another book was like trying to read the impress on an aspirin bottle! Next when I got another audio book, it downloaded the first section but kept showing "downloading" for subsequent sections. MS, please fix this!--I used it a lot and miss it.

Here's the solution if you lot're still having this problem
Don't utilize the Overdrive app that comes with Windows 8 or x
Go to app.overdrive.com. Don't log in. Merely scroll all the way to the bottom by the applications for Windows8 and x
to the Overdrive for Windows app. This will download the old program the way it used to expect, although its dated December 2016. When information technology asks yous if you want to download it every bit something y'all've never seen before, say Yes.
It volition download the old program. Information technology looks really funky after all the great graphics nosotros have in Windows 10, but information technology works.
My recommendation is that you lot still have the OverDrive app that y'all got from the Windows store, you ininstall it to avert confusion.
Now get to yous're Library, check out an audiobook and then become to your checkouts, select download as MP3, and it will download into the old program. Once it'southward downloaded the choice to transfer is the aforementioned as always. I e'er select "Advanced" and and so alter "music" to "audiobooks", and click next. My mp3 player has a folder for audiobooks and handles them much better than the music folder.
